The plan

1. Everhart Park

   Start with the playground, open fields, and walking paths. Pack some snacks.

2. American Helicopter Museum

   More than 35 helicopters and hands-on exhibits. Thursday to Saturday 10 to 5, Sunday 12 to 5. Rides happen only on occasional event days.

3. Lunch at Más Mexicali Cantina

   Family-friendly with good tacos and a kids' menu, 102 E Market St.

4. West Chester Railroad

   A 90-minute scenic ride from 230 E Market St. Book on the railroad's site; seasonal specials sell out.
