The plan

1. Brandywine Museum of Art

   The Wyeth collection and American illustration in a converted mill at 1 Hoffman's Mill Rd, Chadds Ford. Closed Tuesdays.

2. Lunch at Terrain Cafe

   Farm-to-table restaurant inside a garden center at 914 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills. The setting is the point.

3. Longwood Gardens

   An afternoon in 1,100 acres of gardens and conservatories. The fountain shows run in season; check the calendar.
